Retreat Wrap-Up

Nine women participated in the most recent retreat for wives of LCMU pastors and vicars.  It was held in Kampala and the spiritual focus was: “How to start a woman’s bible study at your church”.  This session was led by Deaconess Susan Isanga—Susan is the wife of the LCMU President, Mr. Noah Isanga.  The spiritual focus was affirmed through our group bible study and a drama created and presented by the pastor’s wives.  We also had a bit of fun learning how to make bread and three different kinds of frosting for cakes.

Our days were full and there was such a nice feel to this particular retreat.  I think we all know each other quite well now and it makes for a lot of laughs.  I am so thankful for these women.  They are so important to the work in Uganda and they are taking their roles as pastor’s wives to the next level.  This has only happened because of meeting together.  So thank you to all who pray and are interested in their growth.
